What a Difference a Week Makes

It has been a week since I last posted. I can’t believe that it has been that long. I believe at that time, I was upset about the temperature. Well, here we are a week later and it has been in the 80’s during the day and the high 50’s at night – just beautiful Florida weather.

Last week, we visited with some friends in Davenport, FL. We had a great time visiting with them and catching up with everyone’s recent activities. It did seem that the stories got better after the wine and the Plant City Strawberries – some of the best Strawberries I have ever had.

Last Wednesday, we all – eight of us – travelled to Orlando for the Florida State WIT (Winnebago Itasca Travelers) Rally. Here we met up with 7 more friends and had a wonderful time. We had happy hours and pot lucks – which have been a reputation of doing a good job at both! We met other Winnebago owners from Florida and around the country, attended seminars, had meals and saw great entertainment.

On Sunday, we returned home. Although we had only been here a day before we left, it did feel like we were coming back home. It was nice to return. We have used the pool a few times, had coffee with other residents, met some of our “neighbors” and generally had a great time.

Today, we went to our first in a series of Red Sox games. We were glad to see that Mike Lowell was Designated Hitter. He looked good, but, he still needs to work on his “eye” at the plate. We watched Paplebon and Masterson pitch. It was a good game, but, in the end, then lost to Baltimore. But, it was a good first game. While there, we met some other Rving friends from Naples.

All in all it has been a fun-filled, jam-packed week. Tomorrow is beach day. So, the fun continues.

Talk to you soon!
