Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana Bound

On the Road Again!

That was the title that I wanted to use. But, I know that in the past I have over-used that one! But, whenever we are getting ready to leave on a long road trip, strains of Willie Nelson resonate in my head! Can’t help it!

On October 1, we headed out. The first day was a good day. Left at 8:20 AM, had lunch in PA and supper in WV. Our stop for the night was a Cracker Barrel in Martinsburg, WV. They were very accommodating and welcoming and the overnight police patrol was comforting! The lemon pepper trout and chef’s salad was not bad either!!

Day 2 seems a bit cool at 50 degrees. But, we will drive a short way to VA and the terminus o the Skyline drive and Blue Ridge Parkway.

So far so good – one month and at 6 states to go! Western-most destination is Austin, TX and Southern-most is Lafayette, LA.
