We were out in the RV this weekend. So, some would say that we were "camping". But, to me camping requires some outdoorsy stuff - trees, campfire, things like that.
I could say that we were parking - but that has a whole different connotation that I would rather not introduce!!
I could say that we overnighted in a parking lot. But, that would not be quite right either. Overnighting in a parking lot implies - at least to us - that we are going from here to there rather quickly and we need to stop and refresh ourselves for a few hours. This was for 2 nights.
Also, when overnighting in a parking lot, letting the awning out, putting the stairs out and sitting out in chairs is not really acceptable behavior.
So, what did we do? What do we call it? I am not sure. But, we went to Mohegan Sun and parked the RV in a parking lot. No hookups, few trees. But, there were about 20 RVs and most had awnings out. Many had the lounge chairs out, with the required drink in hand!!
We went to see a favorite musical group - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on Saturday night. Some friend of ours, a local band, The Cartells, were playing in the same venue on Sunday night. So we decided to go. And when you have an RV and the casino lets you park in their parking lot, you take them up on their offer!!
We had a good time, listened to some good music, met some friends and even visited the casino a bit. I found the kind of slot machine that I could play quite a bit - the 1/2 cent machine!! Yep, that's one half of one cent. Loved it!!
