As often said by Ricky Ricardo.
We have arrived at Raintree RV Resort. It will be our home away from home for the next month. Seems like a good home, at least it is not snowing here!!
The travel this morning was not very good. Windy and rainy almost the entire way. We saw about 8 accidents and many of them involved RV or their tow vehicles. It must have been difficult driving. We had no problems and arrived safely.
We walked around the resort and found the important things - the dumpster, the pool, the mailboxes. We said hello to lots of people whose names I am sure I will not have command of when I need it.
The afternoon was cool; it never rained; but it was too cool to enjoy the out of doors. So, we went to find the closest grocery store. It was a Publix and is potentially within walking distance, although we probably won't walk it! We had a lovely meal - steak, grilled zucchini, and salad with oranges, apples and a a vinaigrette dressing. And a little champagne to celebrate our arrival.
This evening we were off to the dumpster and a nightly walk. We met some people walking to the "show". The resort has an annual talent show and tonight was the second of two nights. Glad we didn't miss it. It was a lot of fun to watch and listen.
Now we are back in the RV and ready for a quiet evening after a near perfect day.
