Christmas 2006

Well the long anticipated Christmas Holiday has passed. It was a great family time. We did not get to use the RV as we did for Thanksgiving. But, as you can imagine, the RV was the theme for many gifts.

I was reluctant to buy presents for the RV as I was concerned that my husband would do likewise. But, I managed to give him a few RV-related Christmas ornaments from Bronners – their Class A glass ornament is beautiful!! I did give him some non-RV-related presents for fear of duplicates!!

We are former boaters and in that world, you name the boat and you display it on the boat. It seems that in the RV world, you may name the motorhome, but most do not display it. I wanted to display it somehow. So, I gave my husband a license plate frame with the name of our motorhome engraved on it – Casa Milonga. So we have displayed it, but it is not prominent.

I was the proud recipient of a sewer hose extension, jack pads and wheel covers!! While I enjoyed these, I was most appreciative of the color coordinated dish towels, wall plaque and lap blanket. I loved the electric grill and the lovely candles – all properly color coordinated to the interior!! Our daughter even got into the RV mode - with all sorts of small gadgets for RV living.

And on Christmas Eve eve, we finalized a trip o Florida - staying at Ft Wilderness - in May. It seems like such a long way off. We will have to use the RV well before that. Maybe the weather will hold out for January!!

Best wishes for a wonderful New Year and hope that 2007 brings the best to all!!
