We left Cherry Hill this morning and travelled to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the Air and Space Museum’s facility near Dulles airport. It was a great facility and a museum that is not to be missed. The facility is composed of 2 Quonset hut structures that allow them to display many, many airplanes. There were planes of all sizes, colors and shapes: American, Japanese, German and others. There was even an actual size Concorde.

The weather was bitter cold and extremely windy – at about 20 with the wind chill. Will it ever get warmer?

We left the museum and drove to Roanoke Rapids, NC and spend a chilly, quiet night at Wally World.

We are off to South Carolina tomorrow.
