Sometimes it never ceases to amaze me what a small world we live in. We are visiting the Ft. Myers area and never expected to see anyone that we know from home.
After the game on Saturday, we decided to to go to a local restaurant that was having an early St. Patrick's Day Party. They had a free buffet and a band. Sounded like it would be fun. The buffet turned out to be corned beef and cabbage. And it was really good. And the band was Celtic Stew, an Irish band that we had seen before. They were fun to listen to. After the first set, we were about to leave, when we heard someone say "hello". There, standing near us, were two friends from home - Joyce and Bob. Seems they were vacationing in Cape Coral and decided to visit the same restaurant for the same reasons. We sat and talked for awhile, catching up on news. It was great running into them.
It never ceases to amaze me that you can run into someone you know almost anywhere that you go.
